Noise that appears when the clutch pedal is pressed or released can come from several areas of the clutch system. Release bearings, pilot bearings, the pressure plate, flywheel and other components may produce squealing, rattling, grinding or other unusual sounds.

The timing and type of noise can provide useful clues, but it does not identify the repair by itself. Certified Transmission in Bellevue can inspect the clutch and drivetrain to determine where the sound is coming from.
